Where can I learn more about the Catholic views on divorce?
So glad you asked! Most Catholics—even those with many years of parochial education—have not continued as adults in discovering the endless riches the Church has to offer. As a result, they may still hold misunderstandings of the faith (particularly about love. sex, marriage, and divorce.) Some have been misled or drawn into other faith communities.
Well, we want you all to “come home”.
Jesus is the source of your healing
We know that the fullest healing from divorce can come through deeply personal and spiritually powerful encounters with the person of Jesus Christ. The Son of God. Creator of the Universe. You and him. One on one. He wants to console you, teach you, touch you, heal you, guide you, cleanse you, forgive you, strengthen you, and LOVE you.
He waits for you in his Holy Sacraments
And guess what these powerful, healing encounters with Him are called? You might remember them as “Outward signs instituted by Christ to give grace”. That’s right, the Sacraments. Anyone, at anytime, can encounter Jesus in various ways: in creation, in solitude, in communityy, inwork, or play, or in prayer. But Jesus specifically intends for us to obtain special graces not otherwise available in these mystical, mysterious encounters with him.
